DHOOP : Mahashivratri Dhoop

Mahashivratri Dhoop

Sacred Smoke for Divine Connection with the mitti of the Triveni Sangam

Handcrafted under the Blessings of Lord Shiva

200gms

Key Ingredients:

 Guggal & Loban for purification

Sandalwood for peace

 Frankincense for protection

Camphor for cleansing

Sacred herbs traditionally offered to Shiva

How to Burn Dhoop on Charcoal Cups

Step 1: Set Up a Safe Space

Choose a heatproof surface — a brass plate, ceramic holder, or a dhuni stand works well. Avoid placing the cup directly on wood, plastic, or any flammable surface.

Step 2: Light the Charcoal Cup

Hold the charcoal cup with tongs or place it in your burner.

It will start sparking and slowly turn red hot.

Allow it to heat fully until the top glows slightly and a thin layer of white ash forms. This ensures the charcoal is fully activated.

Step 3: Add Dhoop

Take a pinch of your dhoop powder, resin, or blend and gently sprinkle it onto the hot charcoal cup.

It will begin to smolder immediately, releasing fragrant smoke.

Step 4: Control the Smoke

You can add more dhoop gradually for a stronger fragrance, or let it burn slowly for a lighter aroma.

If the smoke is too strong, reduce the amount of dhoop you place.

Step 5: Ventilation & Safety

Keep the area well-ventilated.

Never leave burning dhoop unattended.

Once done, allow the cup to cool completely before discarding it.

Optional Ritual Tip:

Before lighting, hold the dhoop and chant “Om Namah Shivay” and set an intention — for Mahadev to cleanse the space .
