9 Nights 9 Mahavidyas

🌑 15 July – Night 1 – Maa Kali

Theme: Cutting fear, karmic baggage, and negativity.

Ritual:

* Light a mustard oil diya.
* Offer one red hibiscus (or any red flower if unavailable).
* Chant “Om Kreem Kalikayai Namah” 108 times.
* Write one fear you are ready to release on a piece of paper and safely burn it in the diya flame (taking appropriate fire precautions).

🌒 16 July – Night 2 – Maa Tara

Theme: Divine guidance and protection.

Ritual:

* Offer a glass of water before the deity.
* Light a white candle or ghee lamp.
* Chant “Om Hreem Streem Hum Phat” 108 times.
* Pray for clarity before making important decisions.

🌓 17 July – Night 3 – Maa Tripura Sundari (Shodashi)

Theme: Beauty, abundance, harmony, and manifestation.

Ritual:

* Offer fresh roses or fragrant flowers.
* Apply a small amount of sandalwood paste to the forehead.
* Chant “Om Shreem Hreem Kleem Tripura Sundaryai Namah” 108 times.
* Write three heartfelt intentions for your future.

🌔 18 July – Night 4 – Maa Bhuvaneshwari

Theme: Home, family, emotional peace, and expansion.

Ritual:

* Light a pure ghee diya in the northeast of your home.
* Offer milk or a simple sweet.
* Chant “Om Hreem Bhuvaneshwaryai Namah” 108 times.
* Spend a few quiet moments blessing every room in your home.

🌕 19 July – Night 5 – Maa Bhairavi

Theme: Courage, discipline, and inner strength.

Ritual:

* Wear something red or maroon.
* Offer kumkum and a red flower.
* Chant “Om Hreem Bhairavyai Namah” 108 times.
* Commit to releasing one habit that weakens your energy.

🌖 20 July – Night 6 – Maa Chhinnamasta

Theme: Ego transformation and breaking limiting patterns.

Ritual:

* Observe silence for 30–60 minutes if possible.
* Offer a pomegranate or seasonal red fruit.
* Chant “Om Hreem Vajra Vairochaniye Hum Hum Phat Svaha” 21 or 108 times.
* Reflect on one attachment you are ready to let go of.

🌗 21 July – Night 7 – Maa Dhumavati

Theme: Removing stagnation and hidden obstacles.

Ritual:

* Light a sesame oil diya.
* Offer black sesame seeds.
* Chant “Om Dhum Dhum Dhumavati Svaha” 108 times.
* Clean one neglected corner of your home and discard unnecessary clutter.

🌘 22 July – Night 8 – Maa Baglamukhi

Theme: Protection from enemies, evil eye, gossip, and obstacles.

Ritual:

* Wear yellow.
* Offer turmeric, yellow flowers, or besan laddoo.
* Chant “Om Hleem Baglamukhyai Namah” 108 times.
* Tie a yellow thread around your wrist after your prayer as a reminder of your sankalpa.

🌑 23 July – Night 9 – Maa Matangi

Theme: Wisdom, communication, creativity, and divine expression.

Ritual:

* Offer green cardamom or fresh green leaves.
* Light a ghee diya.
* Chant “Om Hreem Shreem Aim Matangyai Namah” 108 times.
* Speak only uplifting words throughout the day and dedicate your voice to truth and compassion.

Closing Offering (Night 9)

After completing the final night’s practice:

* Offer gratitude to all the Mahavidyas.
* Donate food, fruits, or clothes to someone in need.
* Sit in silence for 9 minutes, allowing the practices of the nine nights to settle within you.
